Ben Folger


Folger founded Gossamer Crossing in 2008 to provide critical needs infrastructure development capabilities on the African Continent. Focused primarily on airfield development, medical delivery systems, communication infrastructure, water management and hybrid power systems. Gossamer Crossings tactical engineering approach has proven effective in Africa’s complex environments.

As Board Chairman, Folger directs the strategic direction of Gossamer Crossing in developing new markets, managing business relationships with senior Government officials and International Donor Community members.

Jeff Holcomb


Jeff Holcomb retired from a 23 year distinguished Special Operations military career in February of 2004.  Since 2004 he has operated as Leadership Director for a  22,000+ employee Automotive Enterprises, A Sr. VP for a Telecommunications support multinational, was CEO of a multinational infrastructure development support enterprise and now is CEO of Gossamer Crossing Global.   Throughout his career, Jeff has routinely interacted with Heads of State, Ambassadors, US and foreign Intelligence Communities and Executive level Government Officials foreign and domestic. He is versed in all aspects of enterprise leadership, acquisition and private equity.   Jeff is SCUBA qualified, an avid alpine and rock climber, skydiver, mountain biker and physical fitness enthusiast.  He serves community off duty by volunteering through local businesses, high school programs and military recruiter stations as a motivational / leadership speaker and acts as a non-profit counselor/mentor for challenged juvenile programs.  Jeff speaks fluent Spanish, and has two bachelor degrees (Business and Latin American Studies).

Iain Brewster


Iain Brewster is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Basis-Africa Ltd, a water-focused company that began operations in 2014 in East Africa. Prior to this he was a Partner of the South East Asian hybrid private equity and advisory firm CSL-Asia, and before that, a Director of Performance Improvement with PwC in London, Buenos Aires, Istanbul and Bangkok, leading the SEA consulting team in GE Capital.

He has led projects for PwC, GE Capital, Tullow Oil and Eni SpA and carried
out project risk assessments and reviews on railways, nuclear power stations
and major systems implementations. He was also part of the PwC global
performance improvement panel and is a Certified Company Director.

Iain is an experienced workshop facilitator, speaker and panel member. He is a Graduate of the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst and has seen active service with the British Army. He holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Technology from Imperial College, London and a B.Sc. (Honours) in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Aberdeen.

Suzanne Belcher

Vice-Chairwoman, Business Development & Marketing Executive

Suzanne Belcher is a seasoned entrepreneur, business development expert, resource manager, humanitarian and conservationist with a track record of leading and managing development and change across Africa.

As Vice-Chairwoman, Business Development & Marketing Executive of Gossamer Crossing Global, Suzy is responsible for developing, leading and managing new-market entry strategies for the organization. She is responsible for bringing the company into new territories and markets so that they are able to scale and expand activities in the Aviation, Medical evacuation, Logistics, Communications and (critical emergency solutions) sectors of emerging and developing economies.

Suzanne has been involved in Humanitarian, infrastructural development & conservation projects in different countries across Africa emerging from conflicts and natural disasters. She specializes in using limited resources available in resource-strapped areas to facilitate solutions that can drive change in high-need, low-resource areas.

Today, Suzanne continues to lead the effort to bring specialized emergency medical services to the African Continent. Working with industry experts on Anti-Venom, Aviation-based evacuation and the International Medical community, she is developing critical healthcare solutions that will create a sustainable framework for standardized health services.
